Let's get Real

I was so pleased to get such a great response to my new idea of 'Real Talk',  Thanks y'all! It's so nice to know you would like to actually hear about my thoughts.  (incase you didn't read my resolutions, here).

Ok, so let's get real, and let's start with me.
Most days, I'm not wearing bright colored skinny jeans, tucked in to boots with a gorgeous cashmere scarf. (well, ok... I never actually look like that) ... most days I just look like a little boy. like this:

and yes, that face is tear stained. sometimes I cry. and it's ok. :)

I'm also about to watch Pitch Perfect for the 7th time since Christmas ... but, who's counting?
(but seriously, have you seen that movie! It's SO so amazing! watch it!!!)

ok, that's it... just a little saturday evening update!
much love y'all!

  2. I've been crying a lot lately, so I totally get the tear stained face. ;) I actually posted an outfit recently where I had a tear coming down my face, but that was because it was so cold. haha!
And I just watched pitch perfect! Great movie. :)

    1. It is a great movie, isn't it? I don't think i've worn out a movie like this since '10 things I hate about you'!

I wonder what's going on in your life to make you cry more? Perhaps we are both just responding to the season... which is totally ok. My acupuncturist told me, that people often come in after the winter time-change wondering why they've been feeling 'down' and hibernating. Which he responds to by saying How it is perfectly natural. And since we are living/changing creatures we change with the seasons. ANYWAYS, I don't know if I said that well... or if it has anything to do with how you've been feeling. umm, urg. oh. I am just glad you commented! thanks girl! love your blog!

  3. I will see Pitch Perfect tonight. I've heard so many good things about it. And I love these kind of posts. I like getting to know the real person behind the blog and learn that it is a normal person, with normal clothes, hair that doesn't always stay in place and so on. I will follow your blog from now on based on this post alone.
    Hugs and kisses!
    Love, Andreea!

  4. I love this! That's usually what my evenings are like when I get home from work. Tank tops and my more holes than Kurt Cobain jeans. I'm so glad you are honest about your emotions. It's not to not feel like the only crazy one who cries sometimes. Love your honesty :)

  6. I am so glad you posted this blog. I follow your blog, I gaze over photos of your home and think they're amazing but mine could never be that clean. I look at your fashion blogs and think, she's so hip but I would never get the opportunity to wear things like that. Then....hear you are, stripped bear, showing me its ok to chill, not everyday has to be a fashion show and that's ok. Thank you. I am worn out trying to aspire to be something i'm not.x

    1. girl! I feel the same way when I look at other peoples blogs. Like KatiesPencilBox is my absolute favorite blog EVER. But, I always think, How is her life so freaking beautiful!???? But, I'm sure everyone has the secret cluttered closet :)

  7. I look like this most days, too. No wait, you're not wearing pajama pants here... okay, so swap in pajama pants, and that's me. I found you just now from Chantilly's blog hop - I hadn't really intended on joining it, but I randomly clicked on a few, and yours grabbed my interest far more than any of the others I looked it. I like it when bloggers don't gloss over the bad, like everything is sunshine and rainbows and they're perfectly dressed and coiffed every day. Keep it real, girl, your blog is awesome. : )

    1. yay thanks girl... and trust me, the only reason I wasn't wearing pj pants is because my boyfriend had just taken my son for the day so I was getting out of the house. MOST days, I stay in pajamas until right before my man gets home from work :/ eeee!
Well, I am so glad you are here and will check out your blog ... right ... now ... :)
